Family Business Review, edited by the Family Firm Institute, is one of the most prestigious scientific and academic publications worldwide, with a history close to 40 years, dating back to 1988. It has dedicated its research to closely following the evolution of businesses from their foundation to intergenerational transfer. This journal receives contributions gathered by members of the global academia focusing on topics such as succession, the impact of family dynamics, and their behavior in the market, liquidity, financial management, current and future generations, internationalization of family businesses, organizational structures, and strategic planning within organizations alongside their changes. These contributions are evaluated by qualified peer academics responsible for identifying the accuracy in their content.

This scientifically categorized publication, due to its positioning within academia, has credentials of the highest quality such as Scopus, Clarivate, EBSCO, among others, which guarantee its relevance within the community, recognizing, at the same time, contributions as a source of new knowledge for the environment.

The latest issue published in March 2023, led by co-editors Roy Subbaby at the Business School of the University of Victoria - Canada, Brian Silverman at the Faculty of Management, University of Toronto - Canada, Peter Jaskiewicz, and Evelyn R. Micelotta from the Faculty of Management at the University of Ottawa, and Alfredo De Massis as the Editor of the journal itself, consolidates a special dossier with six articles from authors located in different latitudes, oriented towards the research of family businesses with three perspectives.
